Hot red cheeks can be caused by a variety of different factors. Whatever the cause, it can be very embarrassing for the blusher. Causes of Hot Red Cheeks

There are many different reasons why people blush or turn red. There are medical and non-medical reasons for reddening of the face. Some of the common causes of blushing cheeks include:

Treatments for Hot Red Cheeks

The treatment methods for blushing vary and will depend on the cause of your skin redness. If you have erythrophobia or social anxiety, treatment methods usually revolve around some form of therapy. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the most common way to treat blushing though medication is sometimes prescribed as well.

Hot red cheeks caused by low self esteem should be treated with therapy to gain more self acceptance. If it is food or alcohol related, obviously these should be eliminated. Relaxation techniques such as mediation and progressive muscle relaxation should also be explored to stop blushing. Try a few different techniques and to find the solution for you.
